We would like to convert a car for you or help you do it yourself.

The following will help you understand what to expect from your EV.

Q: How far will my EV go on a single charge?
A:  Range is limited by budget and the space available for the batteries.  30-60 miles is typical for low cost lead batteries.  Increased range is possible with other types but cost goes up considerably.

Q: How long does it take to charge?
A: That depends on the batteries and charger.  Typically 4-8hrs.

Q: How fast can an Electric Car go?
A: As fast as your budget will allow.  The conversions we like do are as fast as the gasoline engine we replace or faster.

Q: How much will it cost me to convert my car to electricity?
A: The parts will generally cost $10,000 or more if you want to go fast.  We are working out a program to assist you by providing the following items, the cost will vary with the need:

  • Safety
  • Basic theory of operation
  • Installation procedures
  • Tool/Garage usage
  • Did we mention safety?

Q: How much will it cost to for you to convert my car to electricity?
A: Generally $18,000or more if you want to go fast.  However the state of Illinois gives rebates of $4000.
